On Monday 16^th, September 2019- The delivery ceremony of Tug Boat named “Viravaree 3”, it was a first of Tugboat using Scania engine in Thailand. EA Mechanics as Authorized Dealer Marine engines dealership of Scania Thailand, led by Mr. Aphiwat Wutthinansurasit, Chief Operating Officer presented a flower bouquet to congratulate with Mr. Songyos Chatnilbandhu, Chief Operating Officer of Viravan Co., Ltd. owner of this boat. The Buddhist ceremony aims to strengthen the prosperity of the ship operation.

The Buddhist ceremony of Viravaree 3 was led by Mr. Songyos Chatnilbandhu, the owner of this boat.

Tugboat is the type of vessel that manoeuvres other vessels by pushing or pulling them either by direct contact or by means of a tow line. This boat using Scania Marine engine in Model DI13 070M 368kW. 500hp.

The performance testing was carried out by pulling weight of 6000 tons of Barge in the Chao Phraya River with the satisfactory result. In addition, the Scania Marine Engine is being outstanding of fuel economy and there also provides a high torque of 2320Nm in 1200 of engine’s RPM. That is the reason why Scania marine engine suitable for using all types of vessel.
