On February 21-22, 2019, Mr. Aphiwat Wutthinansurasit, Chief Operating Officer, EA Mechanics Co., Ltd. The distributor of Scania marine engines in Thailand has participated and being as a sponsorship during the 5th annual Ferry Safety and technology conference 2019. Chao Phraya Express Boat Co., Ltd. was the co-host and joined by the Worldwide Ferry Safety Association for this event. It was the first conference in Thailand and Asia under the topic of The Ferry Safety and Marine Industry Technology by an international cadre of ferry owners and operators who shared their experiences with the participants in the conference

Ph.D. Roberta Weisbrod, Executive Director and Founder of the Worldwide Ferry Safety Association presided over the opening of this conference.

EA Mechanics had a display booth providing information on Scania Marine engines and brought the Marine engine model to show during the conference. The Scania marine engine on display was a compact model with equal torque to larger engines at the same output power rated. The engine is perfect for saving space and offering the best torque at lower engine revolutions, providing better fuel economy.
