V250 Diesel Engines
GE’s V250 marine diesel engines meet US Tier 4 and IMO Tier III emissions standards without aftertreatment. Advanced technology reduces key emissions by more than 70% while maintaining fuel efficiency and providing about 15% more power in virtually the same footprint. GE’s V250 diesel engines are available in 12-cylinder and 16-cylinder V configurations for medium-speed duty with continuous power from 2175 kW to 4240 kW
L250 Diesel Engines
GE’s L250 marine diesel engines meet US Tier 4 and IMO Tier III emissions standards without aftertreatment. Advanced technology reduces key emissions by more than 70% while maintaining fuel efficiency. GE’s L250 Series Inline Diesel Engine offers a streamlined, fuel-efficient design that delivers continuous power from 1,518 to 1,999 kW. Specifically engineered for marine applications – with accessories mounted on the engine for maintenance ease – the L250 also includes a full-power PTO option. Available in 6- and 8-cylinder models, the L250 provides ease of re-power with a narrow inline footprint optimized for marine engine room constraints, where space is at a premium.

Featuring a lighter-weight, compact footprint, it can accommodate large-bore engine design, while offering continuous power from 2,922 to 3,847 ekW and emergency stand-by power up to 5,065 ekW. The L250 Diesel Engine is available in 12- and 16-cylinder models and meets EPA Tier 2 emissions standards.
V228 Diesel Engines and Generator Sets
Providing dependability, fuel efficiency and lower life-cycle costs, GE’s V228 Series Diesel Engine provides an economical alternative to high-speed, high-cost power. The engine delivers a 3-5% fuel savings and nearly twice the mean time between maintenance cycles in a typical power operation. Available in 8-, 12-, and 16-cylinder models, its high-capacity turbocharger, electronic fuel injection and efficient combustion management make fuel and lube oil consumption among the lowest in the industry. Offering continuous power from 1,307 to 2,905 kw255 to 2,803 ekW, and prime power up to 3084 ekW, the engine’s rugged construction and quality-assured parts allow it to run cost effectively for 20 years or more.

AC Drilling Motor Water Jacket (5GEB1150W)
Optimized for harsh, offshore environments, GE’s fully enclosed, water-cooled motor is protected to IP56 standards, safeguarding against moisture, insects and dirt. GE’s water-cooled drill motor is also safer and more cost-efficient. It has no blower, meaning one less power supply and far less rig noise. Less noise on the rig floor, below OSHA requirements, creates a safer environment for those working on the rig. Rated at 1150HP, the water-cooled motor has a small envelope. And because it cools through the shaft as well as the frame, it maintains the same footprint as our air-cooled models, making it easy to incorporate onto the rig.
